Volkswagen has announced version top of the range Golf VII diesel before the debut of the Geneva Auto Show. 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD
Following an early revelation of e-Golf, Volkswagen decided to show the most powerful diesel version and new 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD, which goes on sale this summer. It comes with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter transversely mounted. Capable of producing 181 horsepower (135 kW) at 3,500 rpm and 280 lb.-ft. (379 Nm) of torque between 1,750 and 3,250 rpm. Compared to the previous model, the 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD is 13 hp (9.6 kW) and 22 lb-ft (29.7 Nm) more powerful.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a gearbox 6-speed manual. But you can also purchase a version DSG dual clutch 6-speed. The 2013 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTD goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds (0.6 s faster) and has a top speed of 143 mph (230 km / h).

It weighs 1302 kg (2870 pounds) and comes with 225/45 tires with 17-inch alloy placed in a sports suspension. Compared to the standard Golf, the GTD version has new bumpers, more prominent spoiler above the back door, wide sills, chrome exhaust pipe and a diffuser. Inside features stainless steel pedals, sport steering wheel, black headliner and sport seats.
